About Truvia® Sweeteners

Satisfying sweetness with fewer calories and carbs than sugar.

Our Sweeteners

We believe sweetness was meant to be enjoyed. That's why we created products that allow you to reduce sugar, not flavor. Born from the leaves of the stevia plant, our sweetness is rooted in nature along with the firm belief that sweetness does not have to be sacrificed.

Three Ingredients. Infinite Possibilities.

Leaf cluster with crystals
Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener is made with simply three ingredients: stevia leaf extract, erythritol and natural flavours. To make Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener, we first take the sweetest parts of the stevia leaf and extract its sweetness. But stevia leaf extract is 200 times sweeter than sugar, so to balance the sweetness we add a sugar polyol called erythritol. Then we add a special recipe of natural flavors to create great-tasting, calorie-free sweetness.

Stevia

The stevia leaf extract (steviol glycosides) used in Truvia is a high purity sweetener derived from best tasting parts of the stevia leaf.

Erythritol

Erythritol is used as an ingredient to provide bulk and the sugar-like crystalline appearance and texture for Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener. Erythritol is found in a variety of fruits, such as grapes and pears. The erythritol used in Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener is produced through a fermentation process.

Natural Flavors

Natural flavours are used to bring out the best of Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener, like pepper or salt or any other spice that would be used to enhance the taste of food.

From Stevia to Truvia Sweetener

In six stages, the sweetness of stevia makes the journey from harvest to your kitchen. By always following this series of steps, we ensure we obtain the best tasting parts of the stevia leaf to use in our sweeteners to add to your favorite dishes.
